In 2016, Fiji’s premier international touring dance company, VOU, embarked on its debut tour of the Baltic States after captivating audiences at the UK’s Glastonbury Festival and in Slovenia. The event was organized by Suluo Daunivalu, the founder of the Museum of Pacific and Oceanic Arts in Riga, as part of his mission to promote Pacific culture in the region.

VOU’s performances in Latvia included appearances at the Terrace in Galleria Riga and in Jurmala, along with community workshops at the Museum of Pacific and Oceanic Arts in Riga . The tour continued with stops in Vilnius, Lithuania, and culminated in Tallinn, Estonia. The ensemble presented a captivating mix of traditional storytelling and contemporary dance, accompanied by live music, creating an immersive Pacific experience.
