The Colors of Oceanic exhibition, held at the Museum of Medicine in Riga in 2016, was a collaborative effort between the Museum of Pacific and Oceanic Art and the Museum of Medicine. This unique exhibition showcased a rich array of traditional artifacts, illuminating the vibrant hues and diverse textures that define Oceanic art. Each piece highlighted the deep cultural significance of color in Pacific communities, reflecting their histories, identities, and traditions.

In addition to traditional works, the exhibition featured contemporary artworks by Pacific artists such as Aloi Pilioko, Nicolai Michoutouchkine, and Josie Cricks, alongside pieces by artists inspired by the region, including Penelope Casey. Visitors were invited to engage with these remarkable artworks, gaining a deeper appreciation for the unique craftsmanship and cultural narratives that shape Oceanic heritage.
